We picked the best places for Aperitivo and Dinner for you and created a list of coming events in Florence from July to September. Best Places to have APERITIVO

  • Su alma

This Bar is opened from Thursday to Sunday. “Su alma” is located in Lorenzo Ghiberti square in the Santa Croce neighbourhood. Su alma offers a combination of seasonal appitizers as well as wines or cocktails.

  • Pitta M’Ingolli

It is a small and original place in the heart of Piazza S. Spirito proposing in its cold and hot buffet finger foods, including vegetarian, vegan and gluten free.

Move on, a new concept store for vinyls in Piazza Duomo, proposes also an aperitif. Together with the drink, you are served with a tris of appetizers. They select organic and Italian products, such as selected craftbeers.

Galanti in Piazza della Libertà, opens only on Wednesdays, with wines selected by the sommelier. Guests can also choose from a wide variety of simple dishes served at the tables under the porch.

Another place located on the river Arno is Easy Living: Beach on the Arno. It is a Restaurant with gourmet menu open for lunch and dinner, happy hour and live music with the famous “Chiosko” and many other scheduled events.


  • Brunelleschi Terrace

This special place is located on the fifth floor of Grand Hotel Baglioni. In winter you can sit in an elegant room with a panoramic window, while in the spring and summer the atmosphere becomes even more magical: you will eat in the moonlight, surrounded by plants and flowers. Every corner of the terrace offers a unique view over Florence and the surrounding hills. The kitchen is of Tuscan inspiration, revisited in modern style.


  • Restaurant of Hotel Alla Scaletta

Open from May to October, the panorama restaurant allows you to dine under the stars and candlelight, overlooking the greatest Florentine masterpieces, from Palazzo Pitti to the Duomo such as the nearby Boboli Gardens too. In the kitchen, the chefs select raw materials carefully in order to prepare traditional Tuscan and Mediterranean dishes on the highest level.

  • Golden View Open Bar

One of the most appreciated terraces in the historic city center of Florence is the Golden View Open Bar. It has a panoramic view overlooking the Ponte Vecchio and the Uffizi and in spring and summer , you can enjoy their food on the outside admiring the Arno. The cuisine ranges from Tuscan dishes such as Florentine steak to raw fish and Mediterranean recipes to pizzas, prepared with carefully selected ingredients.

  • Luci Al Piazzale

Near Piazzale Michelangelo, a place called “Luci Al Piazzale” is located in a panoramic position too. If you arrive before dinner, be aware that the cafe is also a cocktail bar where you can sip professional barman drinks, enjoying one of Florence’s finest sunsets.

  • Il Conventino a Marignolle

Quality is found also outside the city walls and in the surrounding countryside, most notably in the famous Chianti area, where the wine of the same name is produced.

Florence is a continual explosion of evening events throughout the year, but when the summer shows its colors and the weather allows you to be in the open air late at night, it seems that the city is a true tune of sounds, perfumes and emotions.

After dinner you can enjoy the beautiful panorama that Florence has to offer. Either you watch the sunset from the famous Michelangelo square or even in a higher place like the village of Fiesole. Fiesole is a characteristic etruscan village, where in summer season theater performances and open-air music are organized, all accompanied by breathtaking views of the city.

The Ottoni International Festival will take place in some of the most suggestive areas of the city from 9 to 16 July, such as Palazzo Pitti, Giotto’s Bell Tower and Ponte Vecchio just to name a few.   • CONCERTS of “O flos colende” at the Baptistery and Duomo

13 concerts and a holy Mass celebrated by Cardinal Archbishop Giuseppe Betori, make up the 2017 calendar of “O flos colende”, a music show that is now a fixed date for all enthusiasts and this year has come to its twenty-first edition.”

  • FESTIVAL au Désert

  • Puppet THEATER

  • CINEMA at Uffizi Gallery

For the first time, an outdoor cinema will take place in the square of the Uffizi Gallery. This is one of the top events and projects organized by florentine tourist event managers. From June 26 to July 19, the best titles of the Film Festival will be screened just on step away from the artworks of the great Florentine museum. The entrance is free until the 285 available seats are taken. The movies will be screened in original language, subtitled in Italian or English.

“Ytalia” is a great and ambitious project that is turing Florence in a single large and widespread system of contemporary art. The principal object is the dialogue the artistic and architectural heritage. Everyday reality, metaphysics, natural elements and new mythologies are the themes you’ll find in the artworks of the selected artists. 


This is a unique Event that you won’t find anywhere else in the world. The famous “Palio” of Siena is a horse race It takes place every year on July 2 and August 16. The Palio is a historical secular tradition strictly connected with the origin of the Districts of Siena. Today Siena is divided in seven districts. In the horse race the horsemen of the various districts compete against each other. The “Palio” is a very special event and a must-have for every tourist who is around Siena in the dates of the event.



Everything that is antique and vintage can be found in Piazza Santo Spirito, with about 100 exhibitors, on the second Sunday of the month, except in August. It’s the best opportunity for thrift shoppers to explore the huge amount of vintage articles and clothes that the many merchants offer.
