Maurizio and Cristina Brogioni welcome you in their farm in Montefioralle (Greve in Chianti, IN THE HEART OF CHIANTI CLASSICO),  The village of Montefioralle is probably one of the most ancient in Chianti and is still today enclosed within its original walls. The farm is located ten minutes walking from Greve in Chianti, in the middle of amazing hills, with vineyards and olive groves. GRAPE HARVEST

During September and October will be possible to watch or participate in the grape harvest (Montefioralle – Greve in Chianti)

Program:  
Morning in the winery doing the grape harvesting (vendemmia).
Typical lunch “en plein air”.
Afternoon: harvest grape again and see the wine’s process.
Tasting of the “mosto”, first wine.

 

OLIVE HARVEST

During the olive harvest (late October-November) guests can participate in the collection, witness the crushing of the olives at the mill, see how a real extra virgin olive oil is produced and will learn to evaluate the oil just pressed on and taste dishes that highlight this precious commodity. (Montefioralle – Greve in Chianti)

Program:  
Morning: harvest of olives manually.
Typical lunch “en plein air”
Afternoon: visit to the “frantoio” or olive press
Breakfast with new olive oil. Departure with some of your own extra virgin new olive oil
